    How to Catch a Mole

The Traditional Mole catching that I practice is an “ancient craft” and I find that the trapping (rather than gassing) of moles is a much more effective method of control that it is both environmentally friendly and even more importantly it is a much more humane method of dealing with this common but rarely seen mammal.

Why control Moles? The soil in molehills contains bacteria that can contaminate silage, the hills are soon infested with weeds, they can also cause damage to grass mowing and cultivating equipment and there is a risk of personal injury on sports fields, Golf Courses, horse paddocks, Race Courses, as well as the damage to gardens and lawns etc.

The Mole population in this area appears to be on the increase, this is in part due to the banning of poisoning moles with strychnine laced worms in 2006. And quite rightly too, as this would cause a long and painful death.

As a Pest Control Technician, a member of the Guild of British Mole Catchers, and also on the register of the British Traditional Mole catchers I am able to offer my Traditional Mole catching service to many locations such as golf courses, sports grounds, equestrian centres gardens, paddocks and agricultural land, as well as private gardens in and around Milton Keynes, North Bucks & Beds.

This type of Mole control can be a very cost effective method, as I am able to offer a “No Mole No Fee” system of payment, or alternatively you can pay for mole trapping by the hour, giving you full control of your budget

I can report to you daily, either in person, by email or phone which ever suits you best.  And I can also provide visual evidence of my work if required.

I have full public liability insurance and can provide a risk assessment and a method statement to cover any Health & Safety requirements.

Please do not waste you money on sonic devises, windmills, solar mole repellers etc they do not work and pushing poking or pumping Jeyes fluid, creosote, moth balls or any other environmental effluent into the ground, not only does it “not work” it is actually illegal and would make the humane trapping that much harder.

Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss this matter further
