The main pests we treat on a day to day basis are Wasps, Rats, Mice, Moles, Rabbit, Squirrel, Mink, Birds, Cockroaches, Fleas, Bed Bugs, Flies & Ants.
Any pest will thrive if the conditions are suitable for the development and support of the population. A number of different factors can be important in understanding how they can benefit pests, and we can then begin to formulate their control
Every pest treatment I carry out starts with a thorough survey this provides the opportunity to collect all the evidence for the pest activity, and any information on the environment in which it exists.
This provides me with the information necessary to select the most efficient course of action to deal with the problem. also the basis of any pest problem first requires the accurate identification of the pest species before any treatment can begin
I first look at None-Chemical control strategies, this may include hygiene, proofing, housekeeping, trapping or the management of the environmental habitat.
After non-chemical methods have been considered and in conjunction with the current COSH regulations I would select and apply using any PPE required, the least toxic pesticide that is approved to effectively control any pest infestation.
All pesticides need to be applied safely and according to control measures so as not to put people (including the pest control technician) domestic animals, none target species and any environment at risk
In most cases there would be one or more follow up visits to monitor the treatment and to either re-treat or re-bait as necessary or until the problem is resolved.
The main exception to this would be the treatment of wasps that are almost always successfully treated with one visit.
I have several industry recognized qualifications including
The RSPH Level 2 Certificate in Pest Management, The Safe use of Pesticides, Rodent Biology and Control, Insect Biology and Control, Successful Bed Bug Management and The Practical Trapping of Rural Pests.
I am also a registered supporter of the Campaign for Responsible Rodenticide use and a Member of The Guild Of British Molecatchers
I take any impact on the environment and none target species very seriously and make every effort to avoid the careless use of rodenticides.
